Swine Flu & V8 Racing
With the current Swine Flu scare one has to wonder if the Hogs Breath Cafe Pig is going to be quarantined this weekend at Winton

PVDA. Don't worry about 888.
No one will catch them. They aint half bad for a bunch of privateers. |

its a funny word that. past history would say taht wiyhout manufacturer support that they are privateers.
But yet they are better funded than some of the manufactured supported teams and they have this backing from an overseas team that builds cars with or without manufacturer support I wonder if privateer needs to be better defined in this time and age |

Yup Peckstar, maybe we do need to redefine the word.
But they don't get any Ford cash so I recon the word fits. And although I can't name any, I would think some Old School privateers had larger fortunes than GM and Ford combined. They just remembered the old saying that the best way to make a small fortune in Motorsport was to start with a big one. So racing was a better weekend hobbie than a mistress that could wipe out half your estate if the misses found out. |
