Hint, hint, this wasn't IMSA at work.

I suggest a relabeling of the thread.
"Screw the FIA/ACO for taking the ALMS by sucking all of the manufacturer prototype teams out of the series and leaving Sebring and PLM" did not have the same ring to it.

It certainly rings more true.

I'll take what I can get these days.

I think if you were paying attention you would find there to be little meaningful difference in track times between the road versions of the 911 GT3, 458, and let's say Z07 Corvette and for the racing versions of all three cars to have been extremely competitive with each other when they had no car specific BoP.

It's Aston Martin and BMW bringing stupid crap luxury cars because they don't even compete in that road segment (and Porsche practically abandoning the 997) that got us where we are.

Yeah right. Once again people fail to see the difference between BoP used today, and what the variation of it used to be, and claim it's just the same. Also the desire for not having class structures anymore isn't helping.

carbsmith is right.

Also, what Lord Beaumesnil says here about LMP2 would've perfectly applied to ACO GT racing decade ago. http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/117724
In fact, it's like parody of my signature.
