Is 3 Cars A Bridge Too Far For 888??

Reliability problems & component failures for this team seem very obvious this year.

Mr Dutton is blaming the 'tight schedule', yet the only thing that has really changed since last year related to that squad is the extra car, and perhaps extra customer work with Team 18.

Story Here

If the tight schedule is the issue, why aren't others having same levels of component/reliability issues?

peckstar has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!

I reckon they are, but a back story at triple 8 of the 3 cars brings it to our attention

Chaz spent a fair bit of time sitting in the pits yesterday

It's a no brainer they are going to have more issues. Increased workload of 50% across all areas of their business. Every extra part they use/manufacture is one more closer to a failure.
Have their staff levels increased by 50%?

Maybe they are?

Perhaps the media has not approached them for their thoughts?

??

They already make parts for more than 3 chassis across the whole field (plus no doubt parts for the older 888 cars in the development series) so I don't see how an extra chassis in house is suddenly too much work.

All I was saying is the more parts you make the more parts there is to fail or require maintenance. Simple maths. A 3 car team will have more parts fail than a 1 car team.

Never said they had too much work.
