You said as the end of last season 2014 that Tony was going to retire in 2 years time at the end of 2016?!

Nope, not Stewart. The driver for that team was announced yesterday, some French driver. I don't follow or like f-1, so I can't tell you the name, I'd never heard of him. Steward, from what I gather from his retirement announcement, is through driving. He's going to be too busy as a team owner and track owner.

Stewart's retirement was always on the cards. He's not particularly young and seemed to be spooked by the Ward incident in a lasting way. Kurt Busch has overshadowed him. His retirement seems to be more of a liberation and an unshackling for him.

Romain Grosjean:

Four years in F1, has had flashes of brilliance at times. Should be a good fit I think. Has experience in sportscar endurance racing too.

Believe this one comes out of the Bible, "Ask and it shall be given." Here's your answer FIRE. Romain Grosjean. Like I said, I couldn't provide the name, rwintle has. I never heard of him, but obviously Gene Haas and rwintle have. Question answered.

To think Smoke had retired, he is running 70 plus races this season!

Has anything happened with the legal action against Stewart?

I'm no legal expert, but I believe either no criminal charges were brought, or a jury found him not guilty.
Separately, the Ward family have then filed a civil suit, which is on going.

The smile face afterwords makes it a joke. Sarcasm, if you will.

I don't know why you needed to quote a year and a half old post for that though.
