How many are left? From memory the number was never really high, at least not in the genuinely competitve cars. I caus some extra may have come from OS since

For those who are interested in Super Touring the '97 & '98 Great Races will be released on DVD for the first time in October as part of the Seven magic Moments in Motorsport Series.

Who would have thought there was a market for Super Touring DVD's? The market for Supercar DVDs has apparently disappeared. Super Tourers win by default.

DVD format shows Super Tourer fans are living in the past. Why no VHS release, or even Beta!

Be great if the championship seasons were released. I think they only did one season.

Two I think.

You can buy the '98 Review on DVD, VHS or download from Duke Video.

Given the whole 7MMOM series is on the same format, not just the Super Touring DVDs i'd say it's the people making the products living in the past.

I wonder who owns all the TOCA Australia film archive? Did any of it get kept?
There would be lots of great racing in there

Did they own footage? Or did it belong to whoever held the broadcast rights?

'96-'99 were fantastic years.

As far as I know TOCA Australia owned the footage, they organised all the filming and post-production and then bought the airtime on the various networks to show the races.

Makes sense.

Since TOCA Aus is very dead, a chat to the Morris family might be in order.

I see that if V8Supercars take over GT class they are going to call it Super GT. Isn't that SUPER?

And if they take over the Hyundai Excel series they will call it SuperExcel!

We check out Germany’s version of Aussie V8 Supercars

Thought it was an interesting read in relation to this thread

DTM is nothing like V8 Supercars... the entire premise is flawed. DTM only has works car from three, later two, manufacturers, with very rigid team order structures to ensure the "chosen" driver collects maximum points.

While I only skimmed the article did they mention that DTM is incredibly boring? It's what happens when you let manufacturers run their own series.

BTCC would be a better comparison, as like Supercars it's full of independents out for themselves.

This comparison is an insult to Supercars.
