Yeah, but they're not driver specific compounds and they're designed to be run for more than one stint.

Nissan put a Super GT acknowledgment AD on newspaper.

Challenge of GT-R is already starting from today.

There is a machine which is destined to win.
That's a car called GT-R.
However, GT-R was, two days ago,
lost 3 years continuous series champion
in the domestic top category series Super GT.
An important thing is how to treat this fact.
What is the one which wasn't enough? What is the point which should be improved?
We can begin from today to think.
Let's produce. By the technical power grown up thus far.
Let's produce. By the passion beyond we have ever.
Let's produce. GT-R which we have not seen yet.
GT-R which has got a parts as the chagrin,
next season, can be faster.

Please expect regeneration GT-R next season.

Thanks for our fans who fought and ran with us thorough this year.

If this case is happen , then they might make an individual vehicle adjustment like SRO GT3-BoP for JAF-GT300 BoP for the next season.

Sounds like the team weren't laughing at the time , their shouting was kinda synchronised but that was pretty funny.

As Jann Mardenborough , He deserved it to step up to GT500 class as he doing well for this season. The best combination for Jannthaman is NISMO with Tsugio Matsuda.

Yes. It's a strange slide.
Takagi dropped left rear tire on gravel. And it seems TCS worked in error.

I think ARTA M6 crash is much more severe than this crash in Autopolis in 2014 by Nissan GTR-GT3, its that right???

Yes a bit strange indeed

Many thanks for the video Japanese Samurai there was no replay of the crash shown at all on the stream. I assumed he'd gone off hard into the barriers on the left of track not the right. Luckily no one else hit him as he rebounded back across the track.

That was a massive hit, you don't usually see a guard rail fail like that.

Quite common at Le Mans away from the permanent parts of the track, especially 2010-2014.

rjoconnell should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
I remember seeing Iwasaki's accident live and thinking we'd just lost him. "Last generation" of GT3 cars or not, that Nissan did its job of protecting him and he went on to race the following round.

Regarding Jann's potential GT500 promotion: I really hope it's on the cards for 2017. I would love to see NISMO add a second car to facilitate it, as well as a full-time GT500 drive for Mitsunori Takaboshi. Maybe you put the two together >_> I wouldn't bust up Matsuda/RQ right now when they're both in their primes and, in my opinion, already cemented as the best driver pairing in series history.

I honestly didn't think it was that bad of a crash....

Something similar happened in Grand-Am in what, 2012? With the addition of a big drop down and with more speed involved and the driver came out alright. those tires absorb so much energy.

It looked spectacular but there's like zero damage past the engine.

*NISMO (#1) was forced to change the engine mapping of 3rd fresh engine just before the Saturday final race.
*Soft tire of Michelin didn't match the situation, and Warm-up performance of medium compound tire was inferior. So Michelin teams were forced to choose no-tire-change strategy. This decision was made after Saturday race. It was first time for Michelin to choose no-tire-change strategy.

It was on the grid of the final race that Team Tsuchiya (#25) has decided no-tire-change strategy.
That's because they knew that rivals were the same strategy at that time.
But it isn't possible to exchange tire before the final race.
So Takeshi Tsuchiya made an air pressure of tire very low to keep tire wear well.
He struggled for the 1st stint because of this low air pressure.
But this choice is effective, and they finally have got a series champion.

We've got a lot of Super GT drivers taking part not only in the Super Taikyu finale in Autopolis, but also the Macau GP & FIA GT World Cup over at the street course!

Does "can participate" mean that A-seeded teams can participate at least at pre-qualifying session at Sugo and Chang?
