A few years ago I remember quite a few being sold as coffee tables. Still see them around occasionally. There's one on ebay, Item # 1838477772. Actually this is just for the wheel rim, but they appear to have tyres too.

Hmm - they don't seem to have my favourite item, one I've always promised myself.

That is - a wine rack made out of a Cosworth DFV block (although any V-configuration engine of sufficient capacity will do). Each cylinder bore will take a champagne bottle, and the whole ensemble is eye-catching, lightweight and space-conserving.

If you get a large enough bore then surely a V12 would be best!

A few years ago a GoodYear tech at Michigan Speedway sold me the RR from Unser Jr's IROC car for $10. First he slashed the sidewall on the back of the tire to make it useless. (Not like it would fit my car anyway!) I was trying to get a CART tire, but they refused to part with them. Likely trying to keep company secrets secret. Had some glass cut, and it makes a great coffee table.
