suncream, waterproofs, hat, good shoes, if you can your own food, it costs a fair bit and the queues are often long. And ever since I went to Belgium in 97 I always have loo roll (you never know)

But most of all take a sense of fun and enjoyment. Hope you enjoy yourself.

Headache tablets. Not necessarily because of the noise, but if the weather's hot and you're walking around in the heat all day amongst people with air horns going off my head starts to hurt when the GP has finished.

And a fold up stool/chair! A lap board, a stopwatch, some binoculars and a fancy camera! Only if you really want to !

Ah man...had forgotten about the airhorns! They really should be banned! I don't know why people set them off when their favourite driver goes past...he can't hear it the engine is too loud!!!!

If you go near the complex at the end of the lap there's a giant screen, think there's one at Stowe as well.

A good book.....

"Blank space" outstrips actual "track time" at a GP by about 3 to 1!!

If it's hot (ever the optimist) make sure you've got plenty of water too.

Get in to the circuit at opening time and claim your space.

Take ear defenders so you can plug personal streo earphones into your ears. Then you can hear the commentary on your personal radio.

Big screens were at Stowe, Copse (towards Becketts) and the complex, in 2002. Last time I was there *sob*.

Take a fold up seat.

Waterproofs that you can remove when it gets warmer.

A hat for rain and sun.

Camera.

Take lots of money to feed yourself and buy merchandise. Food and drink is not cheap at any racing circuit.

As an aside, I noticed last year that the best day to buy merchandise is the Friday; the prices creep up on Saturday and then go up further on Sunday!

You really need to be getting there as the gates open (used to be 6 am) otherwise you have no chance of getting a decent spot from which to spectate.
