That's diff wind up Al. If I guess correctly you probably did that just after settling the car through Woodcote. It happens to me there when its damp and even when running soft settings.

I did have a bit of a misfire and the power may have come on with a bang when it cleared but it happened so quick I was just a passenger. It happened before in this car off the line at Snett and I slewed across the whole pack but I got lucky that time not this time unfortunately but as the chevies are so damned strong the damage is 100% confined to panels a lesser car would be a write off as it is I need upper and lower front panels two wings (front fenders) and a bonnet (or hood for our American listners) which I already have. I see the thread John thanks and have responded as I said there oddly enough for the first tme I was wearing a neck brace when I had this crash.

The other camaro seemed to go well in the conditions and may of course be down to the fact that he is a better driver but when you put a car into a bend and she wants to just nose on, apply power ever so gently and it spins I dont care how good you are its going to be hard to cope with.

PS yes it was Paul, nice chap actually as he came over when i had mu problems, sadly I think it was quite a hard shunt but didnt want to gawp after the event.

I had a good look at the Kurtis K500, I am sure you guys know the car well but what a fabulous old piece of kit, dunno how it passed the sound test but glad it did as it sounded so sweet.

Good question Moose!

Sunday was in fact bloody cold and wet!

On the plus side though, the racing was fantastic. Really enjoyed the secretarys race, a real mix AND a Whizzo spin in a modern car!

Zola seemed to enjoy herself in a modern car, although she was complaining of hypothermia in open car! I have a feeling it's back to cars with a roof for her!

See you next weekend for a quiet evening of reflection over our respective seasons! Do we have to wear headgear with our penguin suits?

No just a cold wet and bruised Zola, but I believe "special" soft drinks and a Lewis Hamilton championship soon put a smile back on your face.

Oh yes and the Coupe Des Dames unofficial win!

But is it "Darth Zola" now though with the new headgear?

Now Sarah was that the sound of a gauntlet being thrown down and a challenge going out to the attendees?

Good call I'd say!

Totally agree there. There was a thread somewhere about a £28M Ferrari that had the front smashed in and a newspaper article said it was the most expensive crash ever. Well I don't quite see it that way, surely it'll cost a similar amount to repair as a Ferrari worth £1M or £100K would with similar damage.

BTW, I don't think it's the first time this car has been damaged since Paul built it so I am sure it will be out again next year.

Race a Chevy! Two front wings cost around $170 each from the US (some at Rodleys on ebay for £75 but later model) and the front upper and lower panel should be about the same. All bolt on and that was a hard old whack! I will post a picture when I get if from my mate, in the meantime here is one after me Moose and co. pulled it out to race. The old warrior looks quite angry does'nt she :-)

What you mean the old fashioned way? You should see some of the so called body repair shops in Spain, Italy and Dorset for that matter!

I hope you swept up afterwards, Al?
