I've voted for "Other" because Thruxton wasn't on your list, but actually, on reflection, I reckon Donington is the best. It's the combination of it being a proper sized track with a reasonable level of facilities, excellent viewing (just consider how much of the circuit - about a third - you can see from the outside of the old hairpin), it's also really accessible and central. Every viewing point has it's benefits too. And while I've never driven on the circuit itself, it's easily the one I most enjoy driving on the PS2.

Can I put in a good word for Silverstone: it's near me. That's it.

McKay has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
Anyone who thinks Rockingham is a good track has problems. Its got no atmosphere and isnt very flowing or natural looking like other circuits in the country.

16 votes for Brands can't belive it. Although I would of thought Silverstone and maybe Donnington would have been closer.

Castle Combe as it was where I got bitten by the motor sport bug. It normally produces some good action. Grids are pretty impressive too!

This is the problem, I think Brands full circuit is one of the best I have ever raced on but the Indy is a dog with that horrible double apex clearways which is a totally different corner when taken on the GP circuit, should have been more specific.

Oulton Park has Got to be near the front.Donington and the Rock are ballsy but not with the bite Oulton can give you if you overstep the mark.

Yes, it is still in use! Bikes use for racing, while for cars it's only used for sprints.

True, Oulton Park is less than an hours drive away from home, but its not the only reason I love it....lol.
Amongst others on track, the sequence from Lodge where the cars dive down the hill on the corner and up Deer Leap to scream past the pits before anchors on for Old Hall is simply breathtaking.
I would love to see F1 back here.
Who knows with the proposal for some non-championship races it might happen.
I live in hope.

Cheers
Peter

Who voted Snetterton??

Aintree ive never been too, always thought them fences in the middle of the track to big!

Think Don and Oulton are top of the list for drivers, but as I learnt to race at Castle Combe has to be that. Its a fast bumpy fun circuit with hard good racing.

Sato. Have to say from a racing perspective you have a diverse choice ther. Can you explain the reasoning?

Personally I don't like Lydden because of the location and the length of the track (although I've never had a bad race there, even getting pole a few times IIRC). Snetterton is fun from a driver's POV but a bit flat for spectators I would think.

Mallory for me every time. I haven't been to Brands for years, but uesd to love it there. Went to Donington recently after a long break and couldn't believe it, fences and gravel everwhere and if you looked very carefully you could see a race track in the distance.

well Brands Hatch has gone down in my book - got locked in it last night.
Parked as uaual outside the paddock entrance, watched the racing, hang around for an hour for podiums etc and what happens - they had locked every gate out except for the main entrance. Thanks goodness a friend drove me all the way round the outside of the circuit or I would have been severely disabled today.

This is quite normal I've found. A couple of years ago I clambered over a fence with the current European F3 champion at the end of a F3/FRenault meeting. Jamie Green seemed a lot more agile than me, strangely.
