[iV8SC11-R05&06] ITM400 Hamilton NZ 15-17 April

Anyone game to bet against the #88 rocketship?

Can SBR keep up its soft tyre/smooth circuit form in NZ?

Can HRT get 2 cars on the grid and get 2 to finish each race without incident?

Too many questions, not enough answers...

My tip... #1 for race 1, #88 for race 2

It seems Lowndes will be in the spare car (chassis#25) while his regular car is repaired. And presumably Junior is back in last year's car.

http://www.speedcafe.com.au/2011/03/...enched-for-nz/

I like how the T8 engineers are going to "access' the car. As they can do that any time, I guess they mean "assess".

I'm predicting Race 2 will get shortened by a few laps because of football commitments (it will be a nationally televised 2PM game). I'd actually have GTR's predictions reversed (88 for Race 1, 1 for Race 2).

Huge workload for teams after Albert Park

I'm sure those teams will have come away disspointed that a non-championship round has left them with a large repair bill.

Looking at the atricle above it sounds like it will only be DJR that will be running a spare chassis at the ITM 400? it sounds like RK's car will be fixed in time (and DR's car is fixed already according to their facebook).

Most accurate prediction so far. The sooner the V8's go to a network that
doesn't have to kowtow to that wretched code the better.

Clipsal was shortened both days to my annoyance, but I dont think any footy was the reason..... 250kms was just too long this year. And why start the race earlier when you can let the paying crowds drink midstrength beer for 3.5 hours between Qualifying and the actual race......?

But yes, going by the schedules this year, one of the races, if not both, will not go the full distance. This will only be accepted as fair if Giz is leading at the time :-)

Unfortunately, until V8 Supercars can attract $1Billion for the rights they won't get any priority.

Another Holdenfest, OMG blue are you alright as your worrying me ??
Don't you even think about predicting a podium for #2
#88,#9,#34,#2,#14 and #55 to be at the pointy end. Would have had the #15 until the new rocket was put to sleep.

I know he's a long shot, but my outside bet for a top five finish would be reynolds.

Yet if you read the article (and watch the footage of the AGP) you will note that neither of them were the fault of Mr. Luff.... or are we blaming him for not being able to see due to:

Quote:
the first in Adelaide when a $20 wiper motor failed
Or is he at fault as well for James Courtney slamming into the back of him at the AGP? surely thats Warrens fault /sarcasm

Based on what was done to poor Daniel Gaunt, Luffy will be lucky to make it past 5 or 6 rounds. Back to a day job soon.

More IP and experience lost and LDR goes....well....nowhere....yet again.

Actually, the team and driver's quotes in there are remarkably free from complaint. The view expressed appears to be 'stuff happens, deal with it'. Very refreshing.

What happens when the car takes a more substantial beating? No spare car, no access to a spare car, and only 5 very young blokes on the ground.

While daddy lives in a $25m mansion...

Awesome!

Surprised you would suggest that his father should help (or that there is something wrong with being successful). Business is as business does. I can imagine you would also be the 1st to complain of Garry did help.

Speedcafe reporting that the tyre bundells will be replaced by sensors this year, so NO two wheeling cars down the back straight this year.

Will the sensor make it to the Gold Coast and Sydney this year????

Don't worry about the sensor making it, I'm more worried about Crompton and/or Skaifey making it after having orgasms over how many times a driver has transgressed.

They are brilliant commentators arent they.

Add mr squiggle to the mix with his whiteboard and its hard to imagine why there has been a decline in vieweship over the past 2 years.
