Wonder if ford drove the cancellation. Maybe jumped the gun with customer support, and gt challenge Europe was probably their least favorite exposure.

It's quite possible new cars were not going to be ready quick enough.
The car Dinamic tested last Autumn is the one Proton used at Daytona.

Or Ford have identified an issue they need to resolve on the supply or engineering front.

Maybe the supply of spare parts at the tracks was going to be an issue too.

If I'm remembering correctly a lot of the mechanics at that test were Proton ones too.

SRO announced the entries, 55 in Endurance, 38 in Sprint. Not bad at all.

Will update my list at some point soon on that basis so we can see how it all sits, but one big headline is Proton with a PRO Ford, likely the PRO lineup Dinamic had announced

55 Cars in Endurance.

18 cars in PRO, pending where the Santeloc cars go class wise.

2 cars each in PRO for Ferrari, Porsche, Lambo, Aston. 3 for AMG, 4 for BMW. 1 each for Ford, McLaren, and Audi. We certainly dont seem to have lost any factory support from the main guys with LMGT3 coming in in the WEC. 2-3 cars per major is about on par with last year, Audi the only main marque to be reducing there.

Lower classes have a pretty nice spread across the board.

Of note, Comtoyou are running a whopping 4 cars in Endurance, matched only be Tresor Attempto's 4 Audi's.

Good to see Ford stayed on the grid with at least a single PRO entry from Proton. Foot in the door ready to expand next year.

55 is a solid number, I don't think we will ever see the series back at its peak numbers of 4-5 years ago, but 50-55 is great for Endurance.

38 in Sprint, with one extra in the Rossi WRT car for 2 rounds.

Aston, Audi, BMW, Ford, Mclaren, Lambo only entering single cars in PRO, AMG & Porsche with 2 each.

38 is pretty huge still for 1 hour sprint races.

Was announced in summer 2022, used in 2023, but Pure Rxcing returned the Entry for the winning bronze cup car, because they do full season FIA WEC.

Big kudos for Proton for keeping Ford in there! We all thank you for that.

So yeah, 9 makes in SRO and 9 in WEC. SRO has Mercedes and Audi. WEC has Chevrolet and Lexus.

I'm assuming that Brands Hatch will be minus the Bronze entries again, so down to 25-27 or so dependingon Sainteloc? Which is a shame, really.

Nice to see that Grasser are back to having a full on PRO factory driver lineup in the GTWC Endurance again. - Engelhart, Mapelli, Perera

Whether the EVO2 Huracan is up to the challenge remains to be seen however, it didnt seem to be very reliable last season.
