Blame Cosworth's electronics. There seems to be a reason why all the DPI teams are using Bosch or someone else's ECU and electronics suites.
That means that unless they sort the issues, Kolles will be on an island of their own in the rankings unless their car continues to self-immolate. |

There is nothing to understand. Cars got suddenly stop by software issues. There is no strategy, speed doesn't matter, no tyres management, no pit bids. I drive virtual cars myself in endurance races, 6, 8, 12 and 24 hs with my team mates, and believe me there is more action there than at this race.

The best thing that could happen to this race, is that a PC takes the win. That will make some justice to the event.

This is more like real endurance racing than we've seen for years. At this point, just look at caddy as Audi and the rest as intersport/dyson, etc.... Some may be a bit faster or at least competiitive, but none of them can stay out there. Btw, I stepped out for a little while. What happened to the 22? |

Those Nascar guys from North Carolina know how to build a good engine. Carroll Shelby knew it too in the 60s.
I like the racing now, the game between AX and WTR is going fine. In GTLM seems Ford business but who knows what Risi and Corvette can do in the next hours. |

This right here is why premature bop worries me. Its clear who has worked the hardest to have their car reeady. Ok, so they sandbagged prior to Daytona. But at this point, if bop allowed a Nissan or Mazda (lol) to win after one month of "development", it would be a farce. And the 85 is still within reach with some luck or attrition. Kind of how Acura or Honda dyson would sometimes be if something happened to the audis.

Risi has climbed its way to podium contention, I don't see their overall pace being enough to actually deal with the Fords.

Back in 2006 when I was at sebring, Audi won, intersport in a p2 finished 2nd overall and a gt1 corvette finished 3rd overall. Who knew I wasn't actually watching endurance racing?........

I got fs1'd. Recorded it to watch later because I had to be somewhere, avoided hearing the end, went to watch my dvr of the race and found that it had been preempted for golf. Thanks, fs1........ But yeah, that must not have been endurance racing..... Lol.

Sounded like the Porsches were holding something back and may have had something for them, then one has trouble. Damn endurance racing.....

Endurance is to know your car performance with different tyre compounds (if there are more than one), to know the car's fuel consumption with different mixture setting or boost settings. Then build a strategy with base on that information and make your drivers to stick to it and hope it pay off at the end of the race.
This is just be lucky to don't get an issue. Two cars of teh same kind on the leaders lap after five hours is too poor IMO. |

Is Miller the pay driver for the 85? He's getting passed by gt's and the 70 Mazda.

Rear wing on the #28 Porsche looks broken/out of shape.

The GT classes are holding my interest right now. Prototype is a given Cadillac win unless they are incompetent (they're not). Their cars are the only ones reliable and they're faster than everyone. It would be a good race up front if the other dpi teams were allowed more testing. But that's restricted by the rules too. Maybe next race will be different. But that's what a lot of us said after Daytona. Seems like GM ponied up the support and got the best deal on the regs. Didn't their dpi test before the generic Dallara lmp2? If so it's not a surprise they're the front runners.
