Cathholmstrom should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Recommended events for newbie?

Hi all, having just taken plunge and registered as trainee marshal, I was wondering if anyone could recommend good events for newbies? I am based on south east coast so have Goodwood nearby for sprints (first one was fantastic) etc and Brands fairly close for range of events. But, which race events would folk recommend for keen but very new trainee?
Looking ahead to next year pretty much now although have a couple of Autumn events planned.
Thanks
Cath

Welcome to the Orange Army!

Just take a look at all of the upcoming events and if you like the look of it volunteer.

No experience required*, just some common sense and a sense of humour.

Mike

*some events require experience (Goodwood / F1) but you can always do those a little later in your marshal career

Great - thanks. Good to know most are open to newbies - will get cracking as soon as lists are out for next year and for tail end of this. Lots of variety!

Welcome!
Everyone is different, so I would suggest you pick some different events and find out what you like. Don't worry about the grade (as a trainee you can do almost all events), just enjoy and learn.
I did most of the first year in one place and then had a look at some different places - they are different.
Have fun and be safe!
