That was great stuff. Top six within .3 if I remember correctly. Power is magic.
To cds: I don't think it's your rider, mate....his horse should be headed to the glue factory. Yesterday after practice I walked by the garage. Think they did 9 laps, and the report floating around was "tight steering". It the garage, there are six guys standing in a semi-circle at the front of the car, staring at it. The picture was not one of race engineering at its finest, if you get the drift. |

Im here at the track. We got here early yesterday. The weather has been beautiful. I talked to Danica, her crew already of course. I spoke with Helio and told him he was the Edmonton winner. He said thanks.
Great meeting you Jag! |

Unfortunately, Danica didnt make any of the qualifying sessions. Will Power ends up on the pole.

DF is having a blast, I'm sure...man, I love that track.
Since I couldn't stay for the weekend, here is the list that DF would have put up if he was stuck at home too: http://www.indycar.com/var/assets/ho...tinglineup.pdf cds, I think if Jay is lucky, he will have a long day. If he is luckier, it will be short. The Dracone dude is having a worse ride on a better horse. Carroll should be fun to watch, and J.R. Hildebrand is in his first IndyCar race and will not take long to get comfortable. Edit: son of a gun, beat me to it anyway ;} Pretty amazing that Patrick starts all the way in the back, and she ran only 0.8 sec. off the pole time. Last edited by JagtechOhio; 7 Aug 2010 at 19:33. |

I'm off to the BTCC at Snetterton tomorrow, would rather be at Mid Ohio though. |

Steevp,
Justin had a bit of a bingle, unfortunately. Near the end of the session, Briscoe went off, came in for tires and was close to not having enough time to get a hot lap in before the session ended. Wilson was on a flier, caught up to Briscoe running off line (in 5, I think), made a perfectly smooth move inside to get by... Briscoe didn't know he was there, moved inside and they banged wheels. Both into the tire barrier, light contact and heated words. That was that. Simona is wringing every bit of performance out of an average car. Guys listening to the radio yesterday told me she was the only one chattering, with constant feedback and requesting changes. She's on it. |

At the time of the failure, she was in the Top SSix, but four others topped her time in those final laps. She IS on it! |

Carroll went well in morning warmup, as did Baguette.
Apparently Moraes hit his fuel man coming in to practice a pit stop, no word yet. Pit stalls were shortened 1.5 feet to provide a 27th stall. Tight business, that. Wilson had a minor off, no contact and no company in the weeds for the session. Weather spectacular. Graham Rahal might have his car geared to run a fuel strategy race and one less stop. He will be worth watching, and was pretty quick this morning too. If you've ever been frustrated with the lousy video stream from IndyCar.com, try again today. It has been flawless all weekend, with good camera angles. The in-car shots are always great too. |

Milka has looked better than awful all weekend, and has some company.
Thru 15, every session this weekend has had more action than this. |
