After the race, we walked around the track a bit. I took a couple pictures. The first picture is looking down south at the long straightaway. The 2nd pic is looking at the turn just after the long straightaway.

Well, Tim, I like Simona. She did very well yesterday. Unfortunately Danica didnt have a great race but there is always next time. She was having some shifting problems between 2nd and 3rd gear, plus she said there was some vibration in the right rear. Her car was also a little loose.

Congrats to Dario on the win, Will strong again - bet Mr Briscoe will be happy once we hit the ovals again, he has struggled on the road/street courses, his team mates make him look like #3 in the team!

This is what really won me over to Indycar actually. Was a huge fan anyway, but my first Indycar race was the 2001 Indy 500. had only been to F1 at Silverstone before and did the whole crush at the fence begging for autographs as the drivers strolled past not stopping.

Walked round the 500 gasoline alley before and after race, met loads of drivers, saw the cars up close etc, and my wife even got to sit in Helio's winning car about an hour after the race as we were oagling it from outside the garage!!!

The only IndyCar race I've ever been to (well, CART, actually), was at Vancouver back in in 1993. I was gobsmacked at the access in the paddock. I got to talk to Mario Andretti for several minutes, almost got run over by Emerson Fittipaldi on his scooter, and got close enough to Nigel Mansell's car to touch the rear spoiler. The access was incredible...
