I don't think so. Yes, they are (well many of them) the best. But it's supposed to be motor racing. Yes, there was a bit of strategy, but that isn't the be-all and end-all of racing - not to me anyway. No, I saw virtually no racing at all in terms of drivers challenging each other on the track. All of them should be able to go flat out around a track when they're largely unchallenged. I'm afraid I did find it very dull indeed.

Come on chaps, you seem to forget the intensively exciting commentary;
"Vettel lapped nearly half-s-tenth quicker than Bottas this lap" "Bottas has stretched his lead by 0.0056 secs in the first sector alone." "Raikonnen is now only 2.0789 secs behind Vettel." "Hamilton has done the fastest third sector of anyone" "That was a slow stop for the Ferrari, he lost 0.05sec at that stop." "Bottas lost a second lapping those slower cars, but Vettel has got to pass them next." I almost woke a couple of times. 5 only because it did show that Mercs have some competition this year, and maybe hope for the future.? |

Awful "circuit" (if you can even call it that). Race wasn't the best, but not the worst i've ever watched either.

It gets a 3 from me - pretty dull but that's the circuit more than anything I think. No overtaking, no strategy intrigue, no sense that anything interesting was going to happen. Palmer and Grosjean couldn't even be bothered to make angry hand gestures at each other - very disappointing

I'm normally pretty sanguine about the races, and tend to vote towards the higher end of most....but I can't give this more than a 3, even with Bottas getting a maiden win. Once he was ahead, there wasn't a flicker of interest in the event until possibly the last couple of laps, and that wasn't really likely to lead to anything. I think the director was pretty rubbish too, as we saw little of the midfield, but all in, very dull........
