Old Mini Se7en

Hello all, I hope you will forgive me posting here, it is hardly motorsport history! But, my friend recently sold his farm so I had to clear my stuff from one of his barns. This included my old mini se7en, and seeing it again after nearly thirty years has made me quite nostalgic. I have thought about restoring it, but to what end? definitely not raceable, dont think either of us would pass scrutineering and it would be a shame to modernise it. What do people do with old, but not significant, cars?

Anyway, all the best for the new(ish) year, I am pleased I found this forum as I am enjoying the photos and recolections of the 70s club scene, brilliant years.

rallycrosscraig has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
thats great you've still got it, I wonder how many people have original cars tucked away like yours?

deserves to be brought back to life surely someone into mini's would restore a period racer just for the sake of keeping it going... you could use it in sprints...

do you have any photos?

Old race cars never die, they just go Hillclimbing and sprinting.

There are lots of opportunities for the Mini (and the driver) to do these easy, cheap and stress-free weekends.

As a newcomer to 10-Tenths, I've only just found your thread, Mini Se7en racers may be old, but I've never regarded them as not significant. There is still immense interest in classic Minis of all genres. Obviously, you have to draw a line somewhere when it comes to the amount of restoration required, but if it's 'do-able', I would say go for it & as said previously, have some fun with it. I've been enjoying tuned Minis for over 40 years & never tire of them! Photos would be good, if you have the time.
