Remember there will be no LIVE video of the race as this is an NBC broadcast and not a SpeedTV broadcast. For the States it will be on a 1 day tape delay and for Europe I believe Hindy said it would be on the following week some time. So the only live coverage of this round will be Hindy and the crew at RLM/ALMSR!!!

Thanks John, Eve, Tim!

But the last 4 rounds will all be on SpeedTV, so at the minimum there will be a live "Q"ing stream and On Board during the race.

I'll be there for ALMS and IndyCar. Any particular recommendations on viewing spots around Mid Ohio?

For the start you want to be at the end of the backstretch, so will everyone else so head there early. Inside of turn one is good for photos and will as the right hander that enters Thundervalley. Make sure you walk around, there are lots of good places to watch and plenty of trees for shade.

Well Vici is on longer on the entry list. Also the 2nd driver for the FL car is Martin Ragginger. I have a feeling Dirk will be missed again.

Remind you Ragginger did a brilliant job last year at Detroit in the Lizard Porsche.

True, but does he have experience in the series since then? or at Mid-Ohio?
Werner helped FL to a 4th last season at Mid-Ohio, and he is one of my favorite drivers .

It seems Farnbacher/Loles has set it's priority on GARRA rather than ALMS. Probably because they have a good chance to win the GARRA GT Championship and not much chance in ALMS. So Dirk goes where the boss tells him.

Martin Ragginger has been a bullet in the 997 GT3 RSR. Granted the man doesn't have track experience like Dirk Werner, but he's been consistently very very rapid in FIA-GT and likely won't give much at all up to Wolf Henzler. He doesn't bring the self-supported $$$ that Bryce Miller did but he would not be there without the 'blessing' of Weissach so F-L is coming out on top in this case IMO.

Has anyone heared a peep about the Rocketsports Jaguar XK GT2 car?

The project was announced at Long Beach, and this weekend was to have been its first event. Thanks!

Without Chapman Ducote in the Intersport car, I feel the Lola should be more competitive. Many people on here claim Clint and Jon are pretty fast drivers. It would be nice to see them in the television picture after the first turn.

Jon Field can be an absolute demon on race starts, and he's just darn fast when he's in the car, for as long as the tires will take it.

Yes, while I enjoy watching Jon on starts, I believe the team has a better chance when Clint starts and preserves the car for awhile.

That worked well at Lime Rock. I wonder if they will continue that this week, or if they are taking turns with the first stint.

Should be a very interesting weekend. The prototypes should provide some action.

When you say without Chapman in the car, Intersport will be better, that doesn't mean they'll be up there, correct? Haven't followed them enough to figure out their chances.

Looking forward to the Spyder coming back and see how a humbler driver lineup does against the Acuras.

GT2, well, nothing much to say but, bring them on! Ragginger should be a good sub for Werner. As mentioned he's done a good job in FIA GT and also raced the 24 hours of Nurburgring with Manthey. If the Corvettes are on par, the fight for the win could be between 7 cars, 1 Ferrari and 2 each for GM, Porsche and BMW.
