In a way, I'd like this to happen as it would be a good story - another ex champ on the grid and all that. But for someone who has been away from top-line racing for so long all the standard "I know I'm still fit enough" and "I'll only do this if I can be competitive" normally ends up with someone who is not competitive.

If this does happen, I can unfortunately see this resulting in the first test of the TOCA licensing and a driver swap.....

It's a possibility but I think it's a case of we will see. If it happens it would be tremendous, no matter how he does. It would offer a reason for Airwaves reluctance to test the third driver or announce them. I'm beginning to suspect there is a 32nd entry as well.

P Isn't Gravett doing Goodwoods Members Meeting? That clashes with the BTCC opener doesn't it...

Robbb Gravettt is a fantastic driver, and would be an asset to the BTCC. (In fact I'm sure I've heard him say so...)

Its interesting to see some of these teams interpretations of the technical rules. Some teams have what I would say is quite an aggressive aero kit on the front splitter/bumper, whereas others have seemingly nothing. I'm not sure whether there is more going on under the bodywork, however if you compare say the front of the Morgan Merc to the front of the Austin Audi, there is a considerable difference in the number of scoops and lines.

If Robb Gravett makes his comeback that will be 16 years since he last raced. AFAIK the longest is Mike Jordan (1989-2006), so he's one short of the record

I assume your talking about absence from the BTCC, as Mike Jordan did more than a bit of racing between 1989-2006 including banging in the British GT title in 2001.

Media day isn't mandatory. HARD missed it last year, RAR missed it first year they ran the Audis. Several teams have turned up in the past with unfinished cars and did no laps.

Drivers' attendance at Media Day is mandatory - it's in the championship regulations. However there is nothing to say they have to run the car, or even have the car there.

BTW is this to worry for GIO ? was after all the 1st time run in NGTC together with other NGTC cars

There is always competition, you need other cars just to compare yourself, or you don’t know where you are. I can tell you that we have to work, but I’m not scared
