wasn't that the same day as the f2 test? in which case perhaps the only way to get the test fitted into the allocated "noisy" days on the gp loop was to merge the two together and dance to motorsportvision's tune.

F2's were testing aswell yesterday so I think Bella's asumption above that it was one of Brand's noisy days is spot on. As far as dancing to the motorsportvision tune, guess which catagory didn't have full use of garages? ...... 2 F3 teams at the far end under canopies and 1 team in the scrutineering bay
Incidently SVR were absent so they may be nearer the back of the grid at that round......... Litespeed have also had their car repainted by Lotus F1,as part of their affiliation to the F1 team. British Racing Green with yellow stripes, looks fantastic; new images on their website. Last edited by Richard B; 14 Jul 2010 at 21:10. Reason: litsepeed bit |

So ART and Prema are running at Spa? What other Euro Series Teams are running?
This should be a great meeting with the 24 hour, the FIA GT1 and a Euro Series boosted British F3 Round. Can't wait to get there. |

F3/F2 test yesterday wasn't a noisy day but a national/international noise level (105dBa) test day.
There is indeed not enough days for a GP circuit test before the meeting but there will be an Indy circuit test (Believe will be a general test rather then a FOTA/SRO one though) on the Friday before the meeting. Coincidently there was an F2/F3 test on a similar date last year, despite there also being a Friday test the day before. Other support formula that can be brought down to a road car (101dB) level could test at the GP circuit track day on 8th September. Unfortunately its an open pit lane track day so Formula Ford couldn't arrange to have a session. |

For the brands test for F2 and F3, ive heard that MSV are a rather tough bunch to deal with when it comes to getting anything on any day! FFord dont test at all there and i think anyone would b e grateful to get a run. |

Yes I do think anyone should be grateful to get to run, there are just 2 GP circuit test days this year (F2/F3 and BTCC supports). The main reason there is a lack of testing opportunities this year is due to the addition of another GP circuit meeting (European F3 open). |

MSV charges SRO a ridiculous amount for holding that race meeting. At the very least they should co-operate on testing as quid pro quo. |

SRO should have to pay, there meetings fail to bring in the crowds and all other national clubs/series pay. Its not helped by the way SRO's entry's fees are so high (as he wants to make money too obviously) I heard a fee of £400 per 1 hour test session (at an SRO test) a couple of years ago. I believe GP circuit hire is around the £16,000 mark (reserve the right to be totally wrong). |

the fees for testing are charged directly to the championships from msv, not the promoters. thats why some of us cant afford to go. there is also restrictions on days - definitely the local authorities need to start supporting this. im sure one more day of noise wont hurt. why buy a house near a race track if you dont want noise??
