I'd have to agree with you there DRT, it is good that they actually paid for a familiar face to tell you where the accelerator is

What and the stupid names that Dribblin Bill, Mark (I know F**k All) Oastler and Bazza aren't annoying. Names like The Enforcer & The Murph there not annoying. I think they are.

I'm just sick of the oooohing and ahhhing from them all. Funny that Oastler didn't used to do it on 7, and when Cromton hosted some of the rounds, Barry didn't do it as much.
Will Hagan and John Smailes were a good team, they used to do everything together in the 80s (possibly 70s?). They did Rallysprints, Touring Cars, Motorbikes. The likes of Rust, Woods and so on will never match Hagan, Smailes, Wilko or Raymond & Crompton. |

Watching speedweek yesterday and the speedway season has started. The comantary team is a Raymond double act, with Mike and Steve. Atleast they left that idiot Andy at home. |

And Will is someone who ALWAYS has time to speak to officials, unlike a few current commentators who have their noses so high in the air they're starting to look like Michael Jackson!

D.R.T. I'll leave you alone, I think Buckshot made my point. Also, you misunderstood me, I wasn't complimenting the Ten team, I was simply suggesting that they are far better than Mike Raymond, which in my opinion is probably damning them with faint praise. Don't forget, attack the post not the poster or the net nannies will jump on you.
Racetime, no offence taken at all mate. I don't believe my 10 years doing commentary at Lakeside and QR make me a good judge of other commentators, I do however believe that nearly 30 years as a motorsport viewer and spectator give me the ability to know **** from sugar. Elephino, I think every with a brain and ears would agree that Darrell Eastlakes is easily the worst commentator of all time. |

I personally always thought it was nice the way people complimented me on my commentary at Amaroo Park. I worked in a team with Russell Mansfield most of the time there, he did the tin-tops, I did the open cars, we had fun and tried to make it interesting.

For all Raymond lovers: You get a double dose of them on Speedweek these days with Mike and Steve commentating the speedway.
