Silverstone Round 25-26-27
first news Turks will start from the back as he has 3 strikes
this pretty much buries his title chances Matt Neal has 2 strikes so he must survive Silverstone without any penalties.... same for Rob Collard |

Agreed. Tordoff proved you can recover, but then unlike Colin he had and still has the advantage of points, whereas Colin is about a couple of race wins. I just hope he finishes above Plato in the points

Motorbase should have a great weekend, further helping Jackson's championship challenge.
Although, they've been in a similar scenario before and punctures came into play. |

There's more chance of Stewart lines winning a btcc race than Neal being given a 3rd strike over the next 6 rounds.

Gilham in again for Caine, but Caine should be back for the last round at Brands.
http://www.touringcars.net/2016/09/t...-michael-caine Weather looks like it will stay dry, at least in the Buckinghamshire south half of the circuit - no doubt the Northamptonshire North end, where they are racing, it'll be tipping it down. Also, great news - the following grandstands are open. OPEN GRANDSTANDS The following grandstands will be open on each day: SATURDAY Luffield Woodcote B Copse C Silverstone Six SUNDAY Luffield Woodcote A Woodcote B National Pits Straight Copse C Silverstone Six |

So, do we know which title contender is running a new livery for the final two weekends? I'd have to guess Tordoff

Problem with liveries like this one and Aron Smiths is that they're completely missing the point. These 'puking-the-rainbow' liveries are so hyperactive the logo's dissapear on them. On the plain white livery the large DUO logo on the side stood out clearly, now it completely blends in. It doesn't work at all on television.

Good job you can't bet on BTCC liveries
Anyway as a work of art I like that a lot. I agree with Bramzel that maybe it doesn't quite have the same billboard effect of the all white one, but it certainly stands out and should attract plenty of attention. |

Saw that too. It certainly does stand out, reminds me of the BMW art cars

I think the livery on Mats car looks fantastic, but the point about the logo visibility on the car is certainly valid - the massive duo lettering is going to be lost on the TV cameras and I imagine to most of the fans in the stands. The best liveries in terms of value to sponsors tend to be the simplest IMHO.
Hoping to see the Hondas do well but having my doubts... if my failing memory serves correctly Silverstone wasn't too good last year for them. |

Jack Goff is surely due a win as well, both him in the MG and the BMWs went well there last year!

so you think the Hondas have the best cards now ? would be something to have quadruple champion Matt Neal
surprised Mat Jackson that far down !!!!! his only hope to salvage something is reverse grid otherwise goodbye title bid !! |

Front-wheel-drive top 14...it's almost as if certain tracks suit certain drivetrains...Who'd have thunk it?!
Honda in the driving seat for me now. I wouldn't be at all shocked to see them score a drivers' championship 1/2. |

What a mixed up grid with the title protagonists in the pack, reminds me of the same thing happening in the final two rounds of 1992.
Well done to Ash Sutton, Warren Scott beating the other Scooby on the track he injured himself last year and Kelvin Fletcher getting in the top 20 |
