Such sad news, a true enthusiast for the sport who captivated spectators and viewers with his knowledge and unique style of commentary, that has been often copied but never equalled.

A wonderful man , his commentaries made the racing great .Even his mistakes were so funny that you felt you were laughing with him instead of at him .

I think of Walker I think of the early 90s. Endless summers, no worries, touring cars bouncing around. Walker would make a cheesy quip if one of them fell off. Life was good.
Then the entire world would turn to Murray as we looked to make sense of the darker Imola '94 on the international stage. He was a legend during the years that seemed lighter and easier and less complex than these days. For me anyway. RIP. |

a sad loss i grew up with his voice on all sorts of motor racing but remember with joy his usual knack of praising a driver seconds before he rolled the car in rally cross.

David Harkins' poem seems fitting:
You can shed tears that he is gone Or you can smile because he has lived You can close your eyes and pray that he will come back Or you can open your eyes and see all that he has left Your heart can be empty because you can’t see him Or you can be full of the love that you shared You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday Or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday You can remember him and only that he is gone Or you can cherish his memory and let it live on You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back Or you can do what he would want: smile, open your eyes, love and go on. |

R.I.P Muddly Talker.
An absolute legend and in his pomp was arguably as famous as any of the drivers. |

I'm more upset about Murray's passing than I ought to be, or thought I would be.....
Simply, he was an honest enthusiast who's love of the sport captivated us all. |
