Lamborghini Veneno

Hello, in the last night i was surprised by a picture of a new lamborghini, i cannot believe it.

The "Veneno" is awesome, mega awesome indeed.

Looks like a Batmobile, and probably nearly impossible to drive on normal roads. Sorry, not my thing at all - back to the old "Lambo" problem, all style and no practicality.

ehhh it's only a problem if you ever considered driving one. i like lambo because they do different things design wise that push other manufacturers to think laterally too.

i don't know if you've ever seen the film "the devil wears prada" but the scene where the stroppy magazine editor explains where the crappy blue jumper came from to the righteous assistant who thinks the high fashion world is irrelevant.... it's kind of like that. lambo pushing the frontiers of what we'd normally consider to be an acceptable road car is a good thing, even if we'd not buy it ourselves.

i think it looks pretty epic too. i'm not sure if that's an "omg it looks superb" type of epic or a "deathstar" kind of HUGE epic, but...

Isn't that exactly what Lambo exist for? Building cars that no other manufacturer would even consider (whether it's actually in any way usable or not). They seem to be one of those companies where the design office basically just get ratted and then start coming up with new ideas: "pointy bits and a shouty exhaust?" "how about pointy bits and 5 shouty exhausts?" "doors that open in an unique but ultimately pointless way" "Big grilles and a death ray" etc etc

you had me at "five shouty exhausts". what is this car and when can i get one?

ps i judge my cars by stereo quality, heated seats and whether i can fit a snowboard in it

If the McLaren P1 represents pure technological advancement, the Ferrari LaFerrari represents prestige and finesse then the Lamborghini Veneno is the biggest "I don't care" middle finger to the establishment.

By god this thing better make as much noise as two jet fighters going off at the same time.

Can't afford their prices. I'm going to the hardware shop for some stout rope and a kickable chair. Though I doubt the rafters in my modern apartment are up to it.

Don't say that on Pistonheads. It's picture will adorn the bedroom walls of 14-year olds for years to come. Only three being made, so the chances of toddlers crying as it goes past are limited. Scary car, mummy !

Mad as a box of frogs ! But I like , not very practical though two trips to the shops and those Pirelli supersofts will be graining !!
