See the grading officer for your main club.

Nighthawk has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
So what if your not a member of any club !.
This sort of question always comes up
Grading is still a dsrk area not many understand it fully.
THe MSA are due to renew all cards at end of 2008 I think you will see the new grade then.

Thats very true, they have mixed up a lot of things this year, mistakes happen though.

Mine is supposed to be managed by BARC yet it says BMMC.

Yes, I stand corrected! I think (Even If You're Not A Member Of Any Club) that you can ask a Club to handle your grading etc.

Sorry Nighthawk, but that really is a pointless & unethical(?) post in the general scheme of this thread!

The grading scheme may have changed the system, but I always thought you were invited to become an Examing Observer and a questionaire sent to three officials at circuits you marshal, who gave their opinion on the suitability of the candidate, rather than just obtaining training sigs(?) Their opinion has also to be ratified by the candidate's regional committee and the MSA. Please up date me if I'm behind the times!

No i think you are correct. but you still need recomendation from club plus 2 nominee's
If invited then there are those who never will go any further than Observer.
And we are getting short on the ground as examing Observer retire. (not saying there all old)

Probably the quickest way to resolve this is by getting in touch with Richard Nunn at the MSA Richard.Nunn@msauk.org
If possible scan your registration card and send him that as well.
Your BMMC regional grading officer has just changed to Rob Mugurian, who maybe at Oulton Park on Monday. But copy him in with any email you send to Richard Nunn. Rob's email is;bmmc_north_upgrades@hotmail.co.uk

If all else fails PM me.

I know I live in cloud-cuckoo land most of the time but I would hope and assume that senior club officials would not let personal bias or opinion get in the way of judging someone's competence.

personal bias in my experience is something that plays an enormas part in these matters just an unfortunate Thing.
And it comes in many disguises

Personal bias, of course that won't get in the way, but surely opinion pays a huge part???

Guess you can't please everyone all the time, but they are getting something very right!

You don't pay to have your nominated club handle your grading.

You mean you left Combe when it got better!!!!!!!!
