this is absolutly madness !!

Cook appeal after the season, if Tordoff wins by just one point ahead of a Honda then it will be question marked over his title cos if Cook is reinstated he will lose the title

I think the decision to hold the MG appeal after the weekend is an ill founded and utterly stupid one by TOCA.

They have had the best part of two weeks to deal with this, and as I understand it the exclusion was on a fairly straightforward basis - not something open to airy fairy interpretation.

If this appeal results in the drivers and teams who win titles on the track tomorrow subsequently losing them then that would be a sad and disgraceful situation.

Let us pray that this does not happen as in my mind it would destroy any credibility TOCA has.

Best of luck to all.

I reckon on Flash for the title; after his drive in the last race of last year this guy really showed what he and his car can do - a blinder of a drive and the win it or bin it mentality - just what's needed!

12 Neal
13 Collard
20 M Jackson

nothing to do with toca. It's the MSA that deals with that stuff. It's out of Toca's hands.

Ingram fails ride height and his time which means

7 Shedden
10 Tordoff
11 Neal
12 Collard
19 M Jackson

which is now even worse for Tordoff cos he starts on the outside and Matt Neal will have the inside if he gets a really good start....

I just want to wish the people that are in the top half of the grid to be able to entertain the fans and the other thing about the race is the one who is on the top of the pile of the title contenders Colin has just been on it for he has no reason to be thinking about the title

I just hope for a clean race and that the other drivers give the title contenders (a little) racing room.

what's the weather forecast ?

if it's wet the soft tires become irrelevant as they won't have to be used anymore

Plato lost podium at last corner

and great result for Rob Austin

wonder if Neal will get his 3rd strike... or they can argue that he was with wheels on the wet grass and couldn't brake .

This isn't related to BTCC, but Ant Whorton-Eales just pulled off an Andy Neate recovery to crash out his title rival Mike Bushell and potentially seal the crown. He even had his car straight before he speared back into Bushell. He may have been victim of an ill thought through move by Paul Rivett, but to recover like that is pretty pathetic.

I doubt it was deliberate, chances are he panicked as the title was on the line then, but even so, that was not a very good bit of driving...

I love it when people are so sure of a title contender to be written off because they are so far away from the realistic contenders and then suddenly the it is not over after the realistic contenders open the title fight with them in the pack and the title outsider winning the race, for Colin is a great more in the title race than a race ago

Excited for the next race to see if Austin is able to win the race after the second place in the first race

Tordoff has simply too much luck, he had Moffat as effective rear gunner the whole race

and he doesn't get the freak incident like Neal had

We'll gloss over Josh Cook shoving him on the grass then?

I am out of the country at the moment, so only able to follow the races through tsl. Can you explain Neal's incident?

in Austin stayed where he was , championship would be tied, instead Torodoff has 2 points gap and he starts ahead of Shedden with less weight

so guess might as well give him the title now as with his luck he won't crash or have some freak incident

Or you could argue he's driven carefully and done what he needs to. He will deserve the title regardless of what you think.

His car cut out exiting Paddock Hill and he coasted up to Druids, however he got the car going again, exited Druids side by side with a bunch of cars, but side by side contact with one of the MGs spat his car into the barrier, then he span about 5 times then came to rest in the middle of the track between Druids and Graham Hill.
