But does the chase really effect the end results "that" much, I remember reading about a comparison between chase and no chase results in the end of a few different series championship results from the past couple of years (Was in and Australian mag about V8s here talking about using a chase format championship but spoke about nascar and f1 as well I think) and IIRC the end result for the championship was pretty much the same with a couple of examples were it was a different, the lower placing were a bit different tho if my memory serves me correctly. Will look around for it in my pile of old mags for it..

Such comparisons are pointless because the scoring system affects the way people race.
