The car in the picture is obviously decked out in a secrecy livery like they are usually seen on paparazzi photographs of production car prototypes taken out on a road somewhere during field testing. So it's no surprise you cannot recognize the differences.

What's big about this news item is that they are actually having their test at COTA. That's probably the first time an IndyCar has been running there. If COTA is going to be the successor to the Houston GP, this was going to happen sooner or later. That's good for IndyCar. Here's hoping COTA makes it onto the schedule soon.

Sato/Hawksworth could prove to be lethal on the road courses. Hopefully this move will be enough for Hawksworth to get enough luck combined with pace to claim a win.

I'm pretty certain Bryan Herta will find a competent driver for their #98 car. I'm actually more interested in who will follow in Steve Newey's footsteps as their engineer. Here's hoping the Curb/Agajanian connection will be on board again, for tradition's sake.

Looks like Aleshin is out of the picture at Schmidt because the current political situation between the US and Russia has led to his sponsorship being untransferrable to the US-based Schmidt Peterson Motorsports from the Russian-based SMP Bank.

On his twitter account, Aleshin has recently posted a photo of himself smiling while bathing on a Southern beach somewhere, stating he has fully recovered from his nasty crash at Fontana.

He's put in quite a good performance on all types of tracks in his rookie year, and really, he should be back for his 2nd season. Yet, it turns out he cannot, due to the political situation. Looks like sport is political after all, unlike what's often said by politicians.

Hence, Davide Valsecchi gets a chance at Schmidt now.

So after a relatively successful 2014 for Schmidt, both drivers aren't returning...bummer. I hope Hinch can get back in form with this team.
