BJR with their Audi link perhaps ?
PIMP MY V8 TEAM WHICH V8 Supercars squad is being courted by GT manufacturers to run cars in the Bathurst 12 Hour? The Spy has heard both Audi and BMW linked to a surprise V8 team for a serious crack at outright honors in next year’s race. Drivers are likely to be a combination of V8 regulars and gun GT pilots. The Spy has done his research and found some sneaky loopholes the team could use for driver seeding to make the combination ultra-competitive! |

Doesn't BJR still have some of their chairs from the Audi days? that does it for a tenuous link. Watch for this rumour to miraculously appear in auto fiction next week

I would hate to see the Pheonix squad not in attendance because of an alliance with a local team.
If we could have both then that is a value add |

I'm pretty sure the one Class C car (Lotus) is out as it was written off a couple of weeks ago in testing at SMSP and Tony is now going to run his Marc Focus - making 5 of them entered.
Means it will only be a 3 class event now. |

Well that is disappointing. The organisers certainly have some work to do.

last year the early bird list was 34 cars, however 6 OS teams including AF Corse and Nismo were included last year who are missing this year
With only 9 spots left its going to be difficult to get all the expected cars in, Some big Aussie teams have not yet entered either Last edited by peckstar; 2 Sep 2015 at 23:25. |

I hope the late influx of another 10-12 cars from outside Australasia does occur but if it doesn't all we have is the Phillip Island 101 on the Mount. There is nothing wrong with the 101 but for an event on a trajectory towards Spa and Nurburgring it would be a massive come down. |

Are these 46 cars currently guaranteed entries or is there still the non payment clause that the Daytona team spoke about?

Nismo should be back with at least one car and Bentley have hinted they'll return. The owner of Clearwater has pretty much confirmed they won't return (thanks Reload for that one) so that's one less returning car. Of course the Quinns will return in one way or another. Not overly concerned at the moment. It's early September the next few months should give us a true picture of the entrylist with people coming and going.
I just hope Ross a Stone Racing appear with at least one of those beautiful Astons-that or Bamboo return. |

I'm quite disappointed with the current entry list... Only 9 spots left...
No Clearwater (1 car 2015) No Nismo (1 car 2015) No MSport (2 cars 2015) No Craft (2 cars 2015) No AF Corse (2 cars 2015) No Quinn (1 car 2015) No AMAC (1 car 2015) And who's to say the last 9 spots will even be overseas GT3 cars?? ATM for me its a glorified Aus GT race over 12hrs at Bathurst James O'Brien from my understanding used to venture overseas to chase entries... Gotta wonder if that is now happening under the V8SC guise?? More Aussie teams on the grid, more V8SC drivers on the grid, just what i didn't want... Oh well, see what unfolds in the coming months but its going to have to get remarkably better to match this years event |

Guys lets not pretend for a second this race exists in a vacuum. Each one of those entries costs hundreds of thousands of dollars to get here, and both Europe and Asia are in the grip of pretty serious economic difficulties.
With an earlybird list 25% bigger than last year, surely that has to be good news for the race. Of course last year we saw lots of changes over time, and I bet people are busily working on funding deals. Lets not throw the baby out with the bathwater. Above all else though, why oh why can I not see one of those glorious Camaros in the race???? |

AMAC had already announced a few weeks ago that James Winslow was joining the team for B12hr (and Sepang 12hr) so I'm surprised to see them not on the list.
