I'm about to book my flights.

Entered in the 70s thingy on Saturday and the Gent Drivers on Saturday/Sunday.

It's a long time since I was at Brands and even longer since I was on the GP circuit.

JEB has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
So am I !

Spaces available on the grids. Please enter if you can. Let's try and fill up Saturday's numbers.

The Champion of Brands has a round on Saturday (28th) as well for the Golden Helmet Trophy. A great opportunity for historic racers to have a run out in a Formula Ford 1600car as well....

Mr and Mrs Spectator will be there along with some friends who are flying from New Zealand to be there too

Good to see Roger is out, his presence was missed at Donington last week, a few cages would have been rattled

This prompted me to think back to last years event and the horrific accident in the Interserie race. Does anyone know how well the injured driver (John Grant ?) is doing ? It sounded like his recovery was going to take some time.

What's happened to that 70's Touring Class that looked promising before that horrific smash at the end of 09?

I'm guessing the JD Classics has a similar concept or something?

If you are talking about the accident involving the CanAm McLaren driven by John Grant that was same May Bank Holiday meeting last year.

Touring 70's are normally incorporated in Interserie Revival. Looking at their calendar it says they are due to be on GP circuit Sunday and Monday so I am assuming that will be the case again. They will also be able to race on the Indy circuit Saturday in 70's Celebration. No idea who will be there but if Roger W is attending maybe a CSL or two? Sadly I won't be joining in with the Escort on one of my favourite circuits as will be elsewhere that w/end.

I was thinking of the late season Mallory accident involving an RS3100, Vince Woodman or Dan Cox I think it was?

Don't want to bring that up as such but was just wondering if there are enough cars to warrant a series on its own.

Running things like that in an Interserie field is a bit of a bummer for touring car drivers up against seriously quick Group 6 stuff IWHT?

There's so much quality Historic racing on this year though, it's hard to keep up!!

G.Walker should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
They have merged stars of 70s (group 1) & touring 70s series into various various sportcar/70scelebration races

Not ideal but as JD race experienced, grids for these cars are low generally across the board

Hi Andy. Only way you will find any info this early is to ask Masters direct.

It's getting difficult to keep track of which cars are which with Sports Racing Masters, World Sportscar Masters, Proto 70s and now Masters Sports-Prototypes.......
