Backagain has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
Jim Richards Javelin

Does anyone know anything about the Javelin AMX reportedly being built for Jim Richards ? Looks like it could be a very potent machine.

I don't think a Javelin would be eligible for Group Nc. I imagine this will be a Biante TCM car.

Yes , AMI nailed them together with about 15% local content , one of my friends father bought one in 1970 , went like stink but was extremely poorly made /put together , the Holden & Falcon of the day was of far superior quality and fuel consumption was twice that of a 351 Ford and they had next to no brakes , the guy that bought it had traded his Studebaker Hawk and rued that day for many years.
Jim will make sure it's screwed together properly , don't remember ever having seen one on the track in Australia although they did well in the States .

Yes! American Motors Corporation! Same as JEEP but taken over by Chrysler.

But its either a Rambler Javelin or a Rambler Amx.
Most likely an AMX as it was the performance version just like the difference between a Commodore SS or a HSV GTS.The AMXs even had some differing panels to make them look different.

Unless someone raced one in Improded Touring or Series Production here in Oz prior to the end of 1972, there is no chance for Group Nc.
