2008 V8SCFC: Round 14 Oran Park Results & Final Standings
The last hurrah; the final dig; the End... Top Ten
Jose Motorsport have taken up the gauntlet and launched a huge charge at the series leaders in the Grand Finalé. With Big Names B.O.R.I.N.G and Lego Racers mysteriously absent from the top ten, was JM's second round win enough to pull off an even bigger upset? Congrats to ignorers of fat ladies Fabian Coulthard, Russell Ingall, and Michael Caruso! Hard Charger Award Thank you, Eagle Team.NZL, for putting some pride back in the Hard Charger Award. Things usually get quite spread out by this time of year, so an 8 place gain is a top effort! The Paul Radisich Trophy For Reckless Endangerment of your Vehicle in the Pursuit of Championship Positions. This trophy goes to the hardest of hard chargers, the team whose cars have bonnets shaped like accordions, holes where the headlights used to be, front suspension held together with sticky tape, and a spotless rear bumper. The Paul Radisich Trophy for 2008 goes to..... Pinnacle Motorsport! for scoring one Hard Charger win and three Highly Commended's, against no Loser appearances. Congratulations Marcus! Biggest Loser Award Here is the full list of people who forgot there was a fourteenth round (and fell 5 places because of it): Hot Wheels Racing; Mongrelpunt Motorsports; Total Kaos Racing; Team Tic Tac; Holden Performance Racing; and LilChad Racing. The Precast Concrete Federation Salver For Reckless Endangerment of your Vehicle for No Good Reason. This salver goes to the greatest of the gutterballers, the drivers who simply cannot keep their car on the road and would rather build sandcastles or test the crash rating of their vehicle. The Precast Concrete Federation Salver for 2008 goes to..... Noiseworker Racing! for scoring one Biggest Loser 'win' and two Lowly Commended's, against no Charger appearances. Congratulations(?) noiseworker! The Attention Whore Cup For Getting Your Ugly Mug In Front Of Camera As Often As Possible. This cup goes to the team that loves the spotlight so much they were *always* on the podium, even when uninvited. The Attention Whore Cup for 2008 goes to..... B.O.R.I.N.G.! for scoring five podium trips (one win & four top-threes). Congratulations Boxy! The Michael Schumacher Cabinet For Winning All The Time. This cabinet goes to the team that won so much they've outgrown their old trophy cabinet. The Michael Schumacher Cabinet for 2008 goes to..... Jose Motorsport! for winning three championship rounds. Congratulations Exceler8! Final Standings:
The Pete55 Memorial Trophy For Winning It All. This trophy, dedicated to a former forumer, fantasy team owner, and two-time top-3 V8SCFC finisher, goes to the team that wins the Ten-Tenths V8Supercar Fantasy Championship. The Pete55 Memorial Trophy for 2008 goes to..... B.O.R.I.N.G.! for beating everyone. Congratulations Boxy! I believe the Mods have a little surprise waiting for you B.O.R.I.N.G. have taken out the 2008 V8Supercar Fantasy Championship by 168 points from the fast-finishing Jose Motorsport. It was good to see him pushed all the way by a gaggle of worthy adversaries, with Jose Motorsport just pipping Brendon Engineering, Lego Racers, and Powertrain Racing into second place. And so its goodnight from me and goodnight from him. I'll be back sometime early next year (about a month out from the first round) with details of the 2009 V8Supercar Fantasy Championship. Hopefully you enjoyed this year enough to come back! |

Ack ack. Choke, choke.
Is there some award for not changing drivers all year? Thought not. Winterbottom, Caruso, D'Alberto. Come in here. Here's a box each. Pack your garbage and GET OUT. Kramer |

B.O.R.I.N.G are extremely honoured to win the inaugural Pete55 Mermorial trophy. (nice touch Antro btw) Not bad for a bunch of 'attention whores'. We have been slaving away over this for years, when we suddenly realised that maybe it was time to use TKR's method of operation...multiple drivers... B.O.R.I.N.G would like to thank them all - in no particular order: Shane Price, Paul Radisich (get well soon Rat!), Marcus Marshall, Steve Owen, Cameron McConville, Andrew Thompson, Shane Van Gisbergen, Steve Ellery, Jack Perkins, Fabian Coulthard & Lee Holdsworth. Last but certainly not least, huge props to Antro for once again running a top comp (although I am stoked to rip the #1 off you're door ) Looking forward to coming back next year and defending my title. |

Jose Motorsport are extremely proud and honored to receive runners up for Ten-Tenths V8Supercar Fantasy Championship for 2008....Its a bit of a suprise to be second at the end of the year, a top 5 was our aim to finish the year off so well and leapfrog our way to 2nd for the year!!! its such a great feeling to finish second when we well and truly succeed our exceptions first would be better but Jose Motorspot would like to thank all the drivers and sponsors that helped them to get them this far in 2008 Last but not least.Great work Antro for running a top competition we are looking forward to coming back next year and going one step higher! B.O.R.I.N.G,you better watch out im coming for your Crown..Bring on 2009 |

CSR Racing's Propaganda Release
CSR Racing is dissapointed to finish outside the top ten by a small margin of 68 points against head honcho Antrodemus. CSR Racing would like to congratulate Boxy for winning the inagural Pete55 Trophy, Exceler8 for 2nd place and Pro Racer for nabbing 3rd place. "We gave it our all, but it just wasn't enough" said team #1, Razor. "Next year, after running Commies for a while, we are looking to run the new FG Falcon and see if we can nab top spot for '09. We've just had a new deal with CRS Ethanol for title sponsorship for next year, so bring it ON!" CSR Racing would like to thank everyone that helped the team for this season. |

I would assume we have to wait until all seats and cars are locked in (ie publicly announced) before we get under way...
