Being fairly recent, the engines normally come with a ton of emissions rubbish. My Toyota and, to a lesser extent my Nissan, also has lighter crank, flywheel, rods, pistons, alternator, crankshaft damper etc etc. |

all my engine guts are weighed, its in the homologation papers, I can't say I weighed everything to check, I just balance and go ! |

SS my chev is 403ci, thats 6.6L in metric money.
401bhp from that little V8, at what revs, and how much (little) torque? There is no substitute for cubic inches! I'm telling you! The Chevy LS1 / LS6 is a little heavier than mine (iron crank, etc..) just a shame that tuning parts for them are as yet rare. Let's face it, SB2.2 stuff is only just coming to the market in large enough quantities to make it cost effective against the old 18degree Smallblocks. Rob. |
