Since we have many here that might not have understood what was said in the TV show, it might be worth it to point out exactly how skilled Dahlgren is. He had a massive accident the day before qualifying, spent the night at the hospital, still the last hours before the qualy they didnt even know if he could participate, he decided to at least try even though his whole body was aking and bam, he goes out there and puts the car on pole, 11 places ahead of his teammate in the same car... I see him potentially have a promising international career, but he really has to stop making these silly things that do nothing except put himself out of the race. Quote:

What a lovely track, a mini Monaco! Lots and lots of people, hopefully this means that it was a financial hit because I bet it cost some serious money to build the track. Great!

Dahlgren comes across as having easily as much natural pace as the best of the drivers in the championship (Goransson, Ekblom, Bjork) and probably more, but yes, he seems to fail to quite connect the dots and put together an international career. Of course to be fair, driving for Volvo means fewer connections to other programs than BMW or Audi could provide...

Dahlgrens chances where lowered already when the team didn't get the Volvo ready in time. IIRC, they hadn't done a lot of testing before the season, and it showed in the first weekend. However, it improved quite a lot until now. But the Volvo's seem to be struggling just a bit to close the small gap that still exists. They could drive the car home every race and score some points to end just behind the bmw's and the Honda's, or they can give everything they have, get lot's of problems, but when everything luckily falls in place also some podiums and maybe a win or 2, ending just behind the bmw's and Honda's as well. I'm happy that they seem to take the second approach.
