FRD LMP3 series

 A new LMP3 prototype series. This one is a primarily Chinese series with one round in Sepang, Malaysia. KCMG, Eurasia Motorsport, S&D Motorsports and Craft-Bamboo Racing and FRD itself have all confirmed their participation. Each team will enter two cars. If they can win this series, then they will get a free entry in the 2017-18 Asian Le Mans Series, a free use of a Ligier JSP2 LMP2 and running costs borne by Onroak Automotive. 1st runner's up will get a Ligier JSP3 LMP3 for the 2017-18 AsLMS. The series will run a 60 minute sprint race that will be held on Sunday after two practices, and one qualifying session on Saturday.
