What not to do at Brands!
Take a look at this image from 1978. Notice the guy in the yellow jacket. Do you see what he is doing wrong?

Just goes to show that race track safety isn't all catch fencing and run-off.
There has to be a little bit of intelligence somewhere too! |

But that is how it was then! How about this shot of the start of the 1967 British GP? Look where the marshals and photographers are standing on this one.If a couple of cars tangled at the back or someone misses a gear causing a shunt, little time to get out of the way. But that is how it was and accepted.

Yeh, but what's the guy who took the picture of the guy in the yellow jacket 'doing wrong'! (Green jacket perhaps!)?

That's a good question; I hadn't actually thought of that one!

krt917 good catch. The guy who took the picture either was leaning way over the fence or (gasp!) standing on the other side of the fence.

Surely from that angle he must be stood on the grass, i.e on the wrong side of the fence? (Not the guy in the yellow, the guy who took this specific photo)

yeah, it looks like the guy who took the picture is stood on the wrong side of the fence whilst the guy in the yellow jacket is standing on the fence.
