Prodrive Ferrari comes to ALMS

Prodrive has announced today that their beautiful Ferrari Maranello 550 GT will be coming to America to contend the ALMS GTs class versus the Corvettes and Saleens. The car shave been successfully converted to leMans spec and should be ready to contend the remaining ALMS races.

I think this is a good sign for the ALMS where the GTS class seesm to be some of the best racing of all the classes as the factory efforts tend to dominate the LMP classes.

pink69 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid

Seems a bit soon considering they have only raced once and retired. Hopefully no reliability problems for them. will they still use Rydell and Menu as it is a long way to travel for just one race with commitments in Europe? They may soon be joined by the raffinelli Ferraris who are also considering joining the ALMS with Olive garden backing them again.

oooh... they're back are they ? Was mildly amused to hear they were sent home from Donington for a 'technical infringement' - quite unlike Prodrive that, eh ?
