Walshy should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
ACB10's - Puncture Repair

New Tyre. Front. Last session. Chequered Flag out.

Back to paddock. Puncture on front right tyre. Great.

Now it's right in the middle of the tread and I've been told it's okay to do, so long as they use a plug and not a patch, but as I have never had a puncture on an Avon racing tyre before, I seek advise from those that know.

Cheers

A strip of tank tape should suffice [must be black though]

Hello Chris, sorry to hear this. I had the same problem, off the paddock at Anglesey, a few years ago. I had it plugged with no problems. Some people said it's okay but some said it isn't. In the end I replaced it. Guess this doesn't help too much.

Thanks lads for the replies. Spoke to the Colonel (ex tyre man) who said you can plug them, but I just wasn't sure as they generate more heat than a standard road tyre. I'll get it sorted.

Diz and his tank tape. I'll give you a roll of Black tape and a cape. We can call you "Mr TT". Your utility belt could have rolls of tank take in varying colours..........
