An Aussie mechanic looking for a new job?

Do you remember in the mid 80's when the Porsche 956/962's had a habit of doing this. I was a flag marshal high up on Brands post 24 for the 1000k's when a rear wheel went over my head and bounced down the pit lane!

We had something similar to that last year at the Gold Cup. Sytner had lost a wheel coming out of old hall and it came to rest against the armco near the avenue. After the race finished, our I/O rolled the wheel the whole way down cascades right to the feet of the waiting marshals and Mr Sytner!

The answer to lack of marshals. Self-tidying debris.

Brilliant clip. That is the second best. I remember a NASCAR race at Bristol(?) where a wheel came off, ran all the way around the wall and ran into the back of the car it had come off in the first place.

Yea, we were at the bottom of the hill and it just rolled gently to us. Sadly the hub had sheared so we couldn't refit it. When Frank joined us at Cascades he asked if he had a puncture, and was very surprised to hear he was on three wheels!
