I don't believe it ! (I'm allowed to say that as I'm the current Victor Meldrew champion)

Ahhh, steam powered then. Solid fuel or paraffin?

Have just watched Suzuka GP and decided I want to race that circuit. Any historic organisers prepared to put on a meeting there, count me in!

Why are there not more tracks with a cross over giving equal left and right turns, surely that has to be the ultimate layout for a race circuit instead of predominantly right handers.

They should have a figure of 8 circuit complete with a cross road for the BTCC from what I saw from Silverstone this afternoon !

I was a little concerned yesterday . . . surrounded by Mk2 Jags and Anthony Reid in one of them . . . only thing to do was wring its neck the second the lights went out and run away as fast as I could!

Actually, I think Nigel Webb started, but the story sounds good!!!

I paid a whopping £1:61 for premium petrol at the little garage down the road from Combe yesterday, is that some sort of UK record. It really is the nail in the motorsport coffin as well as anything else, I think I did no less than £165 worth of fuel in the race car over the weekend, its just got plain crazy, I am kinda relieved its all over for this year.

Euros or pounds? maybe this was some special mix or something as it was called Power Fuels, never heard of it before. BTW has anyone noticed these higher octane fuels are now clear like water, I thought for a minute I was pouring water into my tank?!

Al, if you insist on buying fuel from the nearest garage then expect what you get, there are much cheaper garages in the area. I can promise you it's NOT a special brew, just an independent distributor.

The cost of nails you've hammered into your motor sport coffin now would surely finance a race meeting? Take 'em down the scrappy and we'll see you on the grid next year

Shell Attleborough is £1:46.9 per litre today for the super-dooper stuff. That price for 102 octane Iain paid sounds good to me........

At least I am still making the attempt to get out and support UK motorsport not like many who seemed to have turned their backs on it. You know all these Spa's and Portugal and all the rest are all well and good but I personally think they are having a negative effect on the sport in this country, to use an old phrase or saying, 'Use it or loose it' and support the sport in the UK not abroad before its gone forever, I am sure if it wasnt for the annual Spa effect the last two meetings I have attended would have had at least another 8 or 10 entrants I see this as a genuine threat now.
