Sato in jordan 2003?

So Sato in Jordan next year then...
Oops, what are they thinking. I guess his a very nice guy,
but not the mechanics best friend at all!
If anyone saw Sato yesterday on the onboard view,
How come he gets so much understeer then.....
(vell actually all the races)...

sato has got a good years experience in formula 1 ,getting another rookie would be a backward step for jordan. Maybe a testing role for sato, give irvine the drive next year and give taku the drivers role again in 2004

EI will join Jordan next year, but we will need to wait and see who he replaces. Apparently Fisi has clauses in his contract that swing both ways - so whilst he has a drive, there's a get out clause for both parties. IMHO, I reckon Taku will be out though.

Well you never say never in Formula 1, but Jordan would never dump Fisi for Sato or Irvine. If he did, thats the team he deserves.

It's the never say never that you have to agree with! Who would have had Panis at Toyota in '03? Who would have had Button at BAR?
EJ has only said that he has his drivers for next year - and worded it cleverly enough that changes could be made and he can say he didn't lie.

The discussion is about Sato and whether he is staying at Jordan or not for '03. There are plenty connurtations that come with a move and I think there are many other factors involved when one driver moves.
Is that ok with you ripper?

Haven't you heard? Honda is asking Takuma to be their development driver as they explore the possibility of a WRC program!

If EJ replaces Sato with Irvine, he will have lost a fan (in me).

We need Tak in F1.....hope he remains at Jordan , next year he will know the team and all the tracks....next year we will see a much better Taku . He has said this was his game plan from the start , maxiumum attack in year 1 , and make the mistakes , and be much more consistent in year 2.

As much as i like Irvine , i hope Takukeeps his seat ..

If not , stick Davidson in there or even Massa.

I know F1 is a mile away from F3 , but that was his game plan in F3 also....in his first year in the championship class he just went maxiumum attack and made a fair few mistakes......but in year 2 , well....we all know what he acheived there...Blitzed it !

I saw extreme CART potential in Sato this weekend, but he is a Honda driver so the invisible might get a hold of him. However, I don't think he is reliable enough(not that the Jordans are)

Valve Bounce has been held in scrutiny for further testing
If Minardi gets the older old Cosworth, Jos will go there with a swag of money, and it is rumoured that Pizzonia will be the other driver. So that leaves two seats for Irvine and Webber to fight out, and if Irvine stays at Jaguar, then Webber will probably take de la Rosa's seat, or even end up at Jordan. If Irvine goes to Jordan, then of course Webber will go to Jaguar; poor Taku could be shuffled to test driver. If Irvine retires, then it is even possible that Bernoldi might end up taking Satu's place at Jordan. Yep!! The silly season has only just got sillier.
Then, of course, in the unlikely event that Arrows announces today that their sale has been successful, and that they will race next year, there will be another two seats in the musical chairs game. I don't think there is more than a 2% chance for this last option, and that will only happen if Bernie buys them out.
