[V8SC10R03&04] Desert 400 Bahrain International Circuit INCL SPOILERS

The last V8Supercar race at the Bahrain circuit before newly appointed VESA CEO Mr Martin Whitaker leaves Bahrain to take up that job...

Another 888 white wash or can some of the other blokes and blokettes think of a solution when out of country?

Can Frosty have the kinda weekend he had at the track a couple of years ago, blowing off the field in 2 of 3 heats, pole position and an emphatic round win? Here's hoping... whether it is Frosty or someone else...

Whaddaya reckon?

With Djr's speed at the circuit in 2008 in 4-5 Year old cars one would expct them to be on the pace considering JC's speed at the circuit in the past also.

FPR Should be strong, as they have dominated in 2007, where T8 effectivly did the same in 2008 so i guess we should expect plenty of speed there aswell.

Suprise packet could be SBR once again or Ingall in the PMM/T8 Commodore.

My Tips.
1 - JC
2 - Mr Frost
3 - JW

Dare I say that HRT will bounce back?? I think that Brighty will keep improving in the BJR car and I can see the 3 DJR cars being pretty consistant

My Favourite 08 moment was when Courtney/Besnard comeback drive at Bathurst. Courtney raced through to dominate the opening stint had 15 sec. gap to Lowndes who was in 2nd. In the 2nd stint a slowly deflating tyre (originally diagnosed as a damaged anti-roll bar) slowed Besnard's stint in Courtney's car allowing Whincup to assert dominance over the field rest of the race. On lap 160 S.Richards, fading badly on rear tyres was unable to stop Courtney move into 3rd place.

Hopefully JC can get up there, and i think Frosty will give it another good crack after a few unfortunate hiccups. HRT will be looking to bounce back from a weekend they would probably rather forget? who knows really...

What are the potential infringements from the Yas Marina meeting going to mean at Bahrain?
Example, the Lowndes vs Gis coming together is under review isn't it? (amongst others). Obviously they can't now change the race results, so what do they get if found guilty? A points deduction and a fine?

i'd expect so... now that the imitation-champagne has been sprayed, not much point in adding a time penalty to the results from Yas...

They'll deduct championship points!
(they've already imposed 10 point penalties against #10, #17 & #51)

Does the penalty apply to the franchise number or the steerer?
i.e Morris or Murphy?

Yes i believe so Axe,

Also in terms of the 10 point penalties that were being handed out left right and centre, what was the actual reasoning behing the penality on #17 in relation to??? No advantage was gained??? When Jnr hit Giz. Yes he admitted guilt in terms of yeah i hit him, but how can Giz walk away from his door to door collision with lowndes unscaved??? IMHO i think the giz Lowndes incident was far worse than the contact between Jnr and Lownds in race #1.

Isn't this to be further investigated at Bahrain?

In what way do you think it was worse. two cars side by side, lowndes didnt lose a position

as opposed to one hit from behind causing him to lose multiple positions

you have a funny definition of worse
