Predictions competition round 18 - Brazilian GP
This is it then, the final round of the 2006 F1 season and, more importantly, our F1 predictions contest.
As ever, predict the pole sitter and top eight race finishers. Deadline is Friday first practice. Best of luck to our title contenders and, of course, the useless swines below them. |

Pole: M Schumacher
1 M Schumacher 2 Button 3 Massa 4 Kubica 5 Alonso 6 R Schumacher 7 Rosberg 8 Fisi Why this choice? Alonso only needs to finish in the points so I think he'll be playing safe. Anything from 4th to eighth will do. Don't forget even if he's leading and his car fails only a win will make MS the champ. Although Mickey-the-Shoe has written off his chances I think he'll go all out for that win and I don't see him giving it to Massa as nice as the gesture would be. Can't see Webber doing anything more this season so I think Rosberg will do the Williams thing this time. He's good on tracks he's never seen before. And I expect Macaroon to be unreliable. |

Better late than never to start this malarky
1. TGF 2. Massa 3. Fisichella 4. Button 5. R. Schumacher 6. Kubica 7. PDLR 8. Heidfeld TGF out with all guns blazing, bringing Massa along for the party. And I have this horrible, pessimistic feeling that something poo is going to happen to Alfonso, so I've stuck him outside the top 8...I just hope my record of being proved wrong in such matters continues! Oh, and I think Ralf will get some more points. Hey, I'm predicting that Alonso will retire, so why not go the whole hog? |

I think we're all in danger of reading a little too much into this final race! Alls I'll say is that's it's a shame JPM isn't in the field - perhaps Ron should have drafted him back for this race. One of all time favourite spectacles in F1 was watching JPM haul a Williams/McLaren round Interlagos.
Pole: Massa 1. Massa 2. Alonso 3. M. Schumacher 4. Fisichella 5. Button 6. Raikkonen 7. Heidfeld 8. Barrichello |
