Murky out there isn't it? I had a good chat with Bandoh-san about an hour ago and the picture is becoming a bit clearer. Whats going to happen is fascinating, I need to get my head fully around it before I put it all on here first.
But we will see a Toyota GT-86 GT300 before the year is out. |

Well if the Subaru BRZ GT300 is anything to go by we already know what kind of performance and looks it will have.

Would it be proper to assume then that the GT86 will be a completely separate project from the BRZ? Seems like apr would be the most likely candidate to run such a car except for their Prius and the new R8 Ultra they've bought for this season.

Really keen on hearing where DTM/SGT goes. Hoping they stay true to GT500 type cars though. Not the spec series with fixed bodywork like DTM.

Autosport Sepang round tech info.
*Lexus introduced "short exhaust" at Sepang round. Old long exhasut was for improving the torque characteristic of low/middle rotation level. However, the restrictor was expanded this season and the torque band shifted to the high rotation level. Therefore, the necessity for the long exhaust decreased. This short exhaust contributes also to the weight saving. *Honda introduced the air-con into all the cars except #17 at Sepang round. This air-con has auto mode and full-power mode. In auto mode, the compressor operates only at the time of an off-throttle. The energy loss at the time of air-con operation is about 1 H.P. It is about 1.4 km/h of maximum spped down in full-power mode. *Honda improved the double-decker rear end. In order to prevent damage by rear-end collision, doubledeck length was shortened by 30 mm. *The trouble of S-Road Mola (#46) was crack of front brake disc. |

No regulations.
But Nissan and Honda have developed original air-con. |

DTM / SGT - bear with me - haggling with GTA over what I can reveal, goes beyond DTM.

Beyond DTM can mean a few things to us, but hopefully that's saying it's headed for a future outside of Germany and Japan?
