Yep, and both are rear-wheel drive saloons.

I think ActiveMS is correct. No one is bashing Susie because she is female, but because she just hasn't come up with the goods.

How she can hope to be in F1 by 2007, when in the Autosport Young Driver of the Year competition her best result to date was NEARLY winning a FRenault Race (not even a championship!) is beyond me. There is just far too many superior drivers out there.

I'd be glad to see a female driver up there with the best of them, but it's just not gonna be Susie (in my opinion).

If your going to go around telling everyone your going to F1 like she does and then you perform in the manner she has then I don't think anyone can argue when a few members on here criticise!
Fair enough. "Pathetic" was a bit too strong IMHO though. As I said, is she going to go against the wishes of those who control her future? Hardly. I agree she's been poor this year and hasn't set the heather on fire during her career.

OK I stand corrected on that point - so he had driven rear wheel drive saloon - but never a porsche, so in theory the specialists should still have held him in check. so 'if you can drive, you can drive' is still true

She doesn't have any more money, that's all there is to it. If she wants to race again she has to get more sponsorship.

To get more sponsorship you have to be in something that companies recognise, and FR or F3 simply isn't it. You can win a trip to the pitlane of a GP in any local paper so sponsors want a path to F1 or nothing.

There is no commercial life outside F1, so SS is forced to say she's going to GP2 and then F1 because that's what sponsors will pay for.

In fact she would probably really really like a comfortable well-funded year(s) with a really good team in Formula National Anything until she's learned a LOT more.

She (and others with no money) do not have that choice, or luxury. Talk it up or race no more.
