Loris involved in Fatal Accident

This from Moto-live.com:

Quote:
According to reports coming out of Italy, West Honda Pons rider, Loris Capirossi has been involved in a tragic accident that resulted in the death of a cyclist. Capirossi was reportedly in control of a car that hit a 73-year-old cyclist, Renato Sangiorgi, who was killed after his head made contact with the street after the incident.

The Italian Moto GP rider tried to administer first aid and called emergency services in an attempt to save the elderly man's life, all to no avail and is extremely devastated by the tragedy.
I read this in the paper the other day and Loris was apparently completely devastated by the incident. However, it appears no charges will be laid against Loris as it was just an accident.

Condolensces to the family of the cyclist and I hope this does not affect Loris too much during the season.

I wonder how this will affect him for the races to come, he must feel very bad about himself.
Sad accident.

Personally it is one of my own worse fears on the road. Yeah sure, if I kill myself fair enough, but some poor dude on a bike or some kid who just jumps out... I couldn't deal with it.
