Apart from swapping Alonso and Montoya, they practically copied my list, whcih was written before Suzuka - on teh merit of Suzuka I think maybe Button and Trulli should be above Ralf and DC respectively.

It's good that there's a reasonable correlation between championship position and percieved performance this season. The new rules have defiatnely helped that, because drivers - even those in the best cars - have to race much more often.

Interestingly Rubens two best races were probably Webber's worst.

So Kimi finishes two points adrift in an inferior car and is ranked only third in this table.

Nonsense.

I'd make the top three Kimi, Alonso, MS - based on what they did with what they had.

Welcome to ten-tenths- jminsh, enjoy posting here!

DC - I though he would scrape late top ten, not a very bullish write up though. A couple of quotes from it...

"failing to get to grips with the new qualifying format"

"blown into the weeds by less experienced team mate"

"McLaren days are numbered. Where next but down?"

All in all, not going to make great bed time reading for DC.

Adam - and Pizzonia's best race (where he overtook Webber on the road !!!) was the one before he had the boot.

That is not so surprising given the cynical sham of a GP team they drive/drove for

Kicking back, I do agree with your assessment of Kimi. That car had no right to be in with a shot in the final round. However I can't really argue with putting six times 2003 race winner at the top of the pile.

The number 1 and TGF usually go well together.

How can DC possibly be in that list. He was nothing short of bloody awful this year.

Da Matta should have made the list in place of DC. Aside from that, no quibbles with it.

Knock DC off the list.

Swap the top four around into something else. Frankly, TGF doesn't deserve top spot considering his yearly performance and I think Kimi should be number one for running TGF so close...

I don't think Rubens deserves fifth as apart from a couple of races he was very dissapointing, i'd put Webber & Ralf above him for sure.

I'd definitly put Webber ahead of Montoya, possibly in front of Rubens, 'cos he did a better job with what he'd got, and I'd put Jenson in front of Ralf.

In that case, you'd have to put Marks name in front of Michael and Kimi too. (using your logic)
