Probably, trackdays and corporate events. In order to make those special you'll need some big names on your track as well though.

BTCC is probably their best hope to make it sustainable

I read somewhere that Rockingham may lose it's place on the calendar (literally saw a comment so no real evidence, I'm just speculating!) so Lake Torrent could fit in there.
Personally I'd like to see a 12 event calandar with both LT and Anglesey... maybe a good street circuit too if one ever happens! And try another one of Silverstone's layouts, like they did with the full Oulton layout that didn't work. Also here's the new Subaru Impreza - https://www.topgear.com/car-news/frankfurt-motor-show/new-subaru-impreza Not the classic shape but looks slightly smaller / shorter wheelbase than the Levorg so maybe another option, though it doesn't look like BMR have the budget for a new build? I personally would like to see the return of double rounds at Donington and Silverstone.

I believe that 2018 is the last year of the current Pirtek BTCC sponsorship for AJ. I wonder if he will continue in the BTCC after 2018? He has been driving other cars, had a GT test IIRC and has been vocal on the driving standards of late. I am sure BMW like him as very good for the brand, so I wonder if he might go the GT route with them?

Sorry, I actually meant two meetings, as in one in May and then one in September say for example.

My money says AJ continues at WSR unless Dick has a three car sponsorship lined up.
Talking of which, is the sponsorship secure for next year? I would hate history to repeat again - i.e. Colin wins title, Colin loses seat. |

Yep, it is after 2018 I was wondering about, which I know is slightly OT. Dick Bennetts did say that he wanted all 3 cars the same livery next year, but it may prove to be the same as 2017.

I really doubt that WSR could find a huge sponsor for all three cars. BMW visibly does not give too much money to the team while Pirtek is a good partner to secure and fund one car and driver. I wonder if it is possible for Pirtek to sponsor all three factory cars. That would be great to see but rather unlikely.

AJ's had a bit of an inconsistent season, not always his fault. I just hope he continues, as he is a hard charger

Article on Huffy on Autosport website.
In a nutshell he won't be back unless someone pays him a salary to race: he needs the money! He reckons (and I suspect he is right) that no drivers are paid in BTCC. |

He's absolutely right. It'd be great to see him back in BTCC but professonal drivers want to be paid for racing. I bet he's right about lack of paid drivers in current BTCC. It's a huge shame.

I always thought Plato was the only paid driver in the field, unless he gets his salary paid to him through sponsorship and not from Subaru/Warren Scott?

Someone give Huffy a paid ride, he certainly would liven things up at the front
