Yes, a very lucky man indeed. That was one helluva shunt and minis aren't the car you want to be in when that happens. Quite a few drivers have lost their lives racing minis down through the years. Very sad.

can some of you older chaps remember the 1st spaceframed mini on the front cover of ccc with a 1300cc bdh in 1974 ?? well that was the car in the video !!

The Mini crashing was driven by Adam Lewenski (something like that) it had one of our 8-ports in it and the carbs got pulled of the head in the accident he was a lucky boy.

yes thats the guy who crashed it never ran with the bdh in ,it was used as a mock up for the ccc feature.it was the 1st spaceframed mini

that mini was once owned by gary streat he also had a crash in it. he hit a tree in a hill climb . car was built by bernie bird known as the gomshall mini first space frame mini .

GOMSHALL Motor Company. Now that rings a bell from the early days. I recall seeing a mini with that written along its side. I'll try to remember the drivers name.........?

tony charmings built it in 1974 then sold on in 75 to gary streat who raced it for a number of seasons before eventually selling it to adam lesniewski who wrote it of in 1990

i used to work for ex mini racer terry harmer he told me 10k but i was young and i believed every thing in them days .im shaw your right .we used to beat them all inc. bda s.in those days on a very small budget.

I raced against Terry Harmer. Remember him well. I don't recall him quite beating us all though. He did have a quick little mini though.
